Day 41 update:
Total articles posted: 84 (no new ones recently).

I've updated 11 articles over the last two days, but I've been busy with real-life things like spending time with my girlfriend and taking care of some other personal stuff.
I got a nasty sunburn on my back, and it makes me feel awful. I didn't really want to work, but sometimes you just have to push through.

rewrite in simple words - - Noticed a tooooon of articles were over optimized because I only wrote 300-600 words and added keyword in title + first paragraph of the article + h2 and the theme inserts it one more time above the title so it was highly over optimized. Can already see positive changes when I started to add content to these posts which reduced the keyword density.

Although 8 articles are now in the top 3, they aren't yet bringing any extra traffic which is weird.

Lets keep hustlin and waiting for better days to come.

Earnings so far this month:

Something's definitely off with the click counts—there's no way I'm getting that many clicks for real.
It's the same issue with Google Search Console. It says I'm getting 50-70 clicks every day, but Google Analytics shows only 40-50 visitors daily, and that includes traffic from Reddit.

Good luck, I hope you hit $2k a month soon, buddy!

Thanks! I hope so too :D

Cool, good to hear you've got a new girlfriend, man!

It's probably the conversion cookie, in my opinion. If not, then maybe your landing page is just really bad.

As for the clicks, it might be you. Do you get product links from Amazon? If you use Amazon's "product links" function, after you search for your product, clicking on it opens a new tab to that product. If you check the full URL, you'll see that your TAG is there, which might be why you're getting those clicks counted.

I meant I shouldn't be getting that many; it's not about the conversion. Something weird is going on.

Yeah, sometimes I do that to grab product descriptions and images, but I haven't added any new articles in almost a week, and I’m still getting 50-70 clicks a day. So it’s not me. It's super weird.

What about the bounce rate? You might get lots of visitors from non-English speaking countries who click your link in multiple posts at once. I've also noticed some sudden jumps in clicks on Amazon.

The bounce rate is high (which is expected for an Amazon affiliate since it means people are clicking the link), but the strange thing is that I'm getting way more clicks than visitors on my website, which doesn't make sense.

Maybe Google doesn't count all the clicks because the script doesn't have enough time to load completely before the visitor clicks the Amazon link.

I'd check how many people click on the Amazon links on each page and make a purchase. This way, you can see which pages are getting sales and which ones aren't, and then figure out why some pages aren't doing well.

Update, Day 45 Total articles posted so far: 85 (+1)

It's been a few days since my last update, so I figured it was time to catch up. I've been really busy with a lot of things, especially with my girlfriend. We've had a rocky few months, and we decided to work on our relationship before it falls apart, which is why I've been swamped lately. We've been spending more time together, and it's been great.

  • I wrote an article about a topic that's been on my mind lately. It's 1,200 words long, all handwritten without any digital help. I also shared it on Reddit in a related community, and it's been bringing in about 30 to 60 visitors each day.
  • I updated 27 posts since my last update.
  • Google Analytics has been unreliable—it keeps working, then stops, then starts again. So I've stopped trusting it. But based on what I've seen, the clicks I'm getting on Amazon and Google Search Console are real.
Right now, I'm getting over 100 clicks a day on Google Search Console, which is AMAZING.

However, my conversion rate on Amazon is really bad. I need to figure out how to fix it, so I'm planning to read some articles on improving conversions.

This month, I've made about $46 from Amazon, and if my traffic keeps increasing, I might start using Ezoic next month. I think I'll be getting over 5,000 visitors per month soon.

Google Analytics is being really unreliable and glitchy. But Google Search Console is 100% accurate.

I can't track which pages are getting the clicks, but I do know which ones are getting the most visitors. I definitely need to find a way to boost my conversion rate.

Yes, there are two ways to do it:

With Universal Analytics, you can check the on-click event tracking.
With GA4, you can set up outbound link tracking in the automatic event tracking settings.

The problem is that my analytics aren't working right. I added the GA4 code to the <head>, but it doesn't track anything—it just doesn't work. The only one that's tracking is the one that MonsterInsights added.

Congratulations on your progress! With 5,000 pageviews and the session times you're getting, you can probably earn around $400 a month.

I don't think I'll earn close to $400. From what I've seen, ad networks usually pay around $10-15 per 1,000 visits, and maybe up to $20 if I let them cover my site with ads (which I won't). So, I expect to make at most $50-100 from Ezoic, and with Amazon, maybe $200-300 total from 5,000 visitors a month. It's not terrible, I guess. I just need to work on getting more conversions.

$200 for 5,000 users sent to Amazon? That's not much return on investment. Maybe you should work on boosting your conversion rate, switch to a different product, or find another way to make money from your content.

I had 5000 people visit my website, but not all of them clicked on the Amazon links. Maybe around 25-33% did. Also, not all the articles on my website have Amazon affiliate links; some are just for information.

You need to switch your product right away! There's no chance you're making just $200 with 5,000 users visiting your site every month!

I haven't started making that much yet. It's just my estimate of what I'll be earning when I reach that point, which should happen soon, maybe next month.
