I plan to focus my blog on programming, blockchain, and (ethical) hacking, but I currently don't have the funds to purchase a domain and hosting. My main concern is acquiring a domain. What steps should I take?

Why are you suggesting an AI site? He's looking for a free blogging platform, not an AI tool.

Why not find a partner to share the costs? You can handle the content while your partner covers the finances.

You'll need at least $15 to get started—$10 for a .com domain and $5 for a year's worth of hosting. Avoid using free subdomains; focus on earning the $15 you need to make a solid start.

I have my freelancing site on a free subdomain, but I wouldn't expect it to rank on Google. If you're serious about ranking, just invest in a proper domain.

You can get a free domain for a year from 1and1! They aren’t the best, but a free domain is a good way to start.

For hosting, I recommend getting a monthly plan from Namecheap; it’s about $2. You can also look online for sellers offering trial hosting.

You can install WordPress for free and don’t worry about fancy themes!

If you want free content, try using AI app trials to help create it.

Then, just publish everything!

You may also want to consider using a Social Media account to start. I have seen a few personal friends start there brand on X (twitter) and then move to WordPress etc website. This way you have potential to grow your audience from day 1. Good Luck
