Hey MMO user,

I want to know how to avoid LinkedIn account limits. I’ve tried both old and new accounts, but I’m having the same issue. Can anyone share a solution to avoid this?

What’s the problem? What exactly are the limits?

After buying old accounts, when I posted an article, it got restricted. And for the new one, when I tried to change my profile picture, it got restricted too.

Have you been sending many connection requests or sharing content that might seem spammy or offensive?

I want to know how to avoid LinkedIn account limits.

Make sure to read their policies first so you know what actions might limit your account. If you can share what kind of restrictions you’re facing, you might get more help here in this discussion.

I shared content, but didn’t send any connection requests, and my content probably wasn’t spammy.

Have you tried warming up those accounts?
Also, if you make big changes, like switching to a new profile picture (of someone else), it could really increase your chance of getting restricted.

They’re asking me to upload my ID.

This could be happening because your profile seems unusual. Be sure to provide all the info they ask for to prevent getting restricted.

A lot of people who give advice have never tried LinkedIn. You can't really avoid that. I've worked with all sorts of social media, and the hardest one I've found is LinkedIn. You can just say hi to someone, and your account could get banned.

I didn't try to warm up. But after buying old accounts, I was sent an article.

Once you're asked to verify your identity, the only option is to provide an ID or create a new account if you can't.

Here’s what you can do next time:

Make sure your profile has real, accurate details. Don’t put random stuff that doesn’t seem believable.

Keep it professional—this is a platform for professionals, so avoid using it like other social media. Only post professional content.

Don’t rush to get a lot of connections:

Don’t send too many connection requests.

Start by connecting with 2nd-degree contacts.

Only send requests to active members (you can check their activity).

Send requests to people who are likely to accept, like those who have mentioned LION.

Avoid any suspicious actions.

Can’t I change the profile information?
