Does uploading YouTube Shorts that have already been uploaded by others (with edits, added commentary, etc.) affect their view count? For example, if a video was posted by several channels months ago and has millions of views, but I take that same video, edit it, add my own voice, and make changes—will it still perform well? Or does YouTube recognize previously uploaded content and prevent it from getting featured, no matter how much I modify or add value to the video?
