GOALS
Hey everyone, not much new going on with the site, just the usual tedious stuff—like scheduling content. I've now planned out April completely in advance, with one post scheduled each day until May 1st.

Here's the latest traffic update! We hit a new record with 459 users in a single day, and 476 pageviews—whichever stat you prefer.

I'm really pleased with how things are going right now. If this growth keeps up, I might be able to join Mediavine even before September, October, or November, which is what I originally planned. But we'll see what happens. That's it for this update—I need to get back to work and schedule more posts! If you have any questions or just want to chat, don't hesitate to reach out! :)
 
Could you share how you find your own links? It's something I have trouble with.

Honestly, there's not much to it. I use Ahrefs to find websites in my niche with good stats and a Domain Rating (DR) above 30. If they look promising, I send them an email asking if they're open to a paid guest post. Most of them say yes, especially since I only promote informational articles, not something like casinos or betting, which can be off-putting.

What's your success rate with this? I always thought competitors wouldn’t give you a link, even if you pay, because they don’t want you getting more authority and competing with them.
Are you just asking for a link and their prices? I'm planning on doing link building soon and looking into different strategies.

You might be surprised how many people agree to link to their competitors when you offer them money :) Also, I'm not linking to my top posts, which are similar to their direct competition in the article I'll get the link from, so that probably helps too.

I don't want to waste their time, so I ask them for a price right away. When we start talking, I offer to write a really good guest post for them (they get to pick the topic), and in exchange, I get the link. This also works out well sometimes.

If things keep going this well, I might be able to join Mediavine, probably by July (keeping my fingers crossed)!

Hi @mentolinho, I’ve enjoyed reading about your journey. I’ve seen similar stories on other top websites and decided to start my own for a stress-free life. I’ve bought a domain and plan to write or outsource some content for my niche before launching.

I wanted to ask, what keyword research method do you use? Could you share it here or in a private message? Also, what group buy SEO tool are you using, and what is the Ahrefs limit?

Thanks a lot! I've been in this niche for a while, so I think I know what I'm doing. The niche isn't super-viral, but the content and keywords still attract visitors, even though I'm mostly focusing on keywords with 0 searches. I'm just using common sense to pick the right keywords, and it's working out great so far.

Thanks, mate! :) At the moment, we’ve got 203 articles published on the site, with an average word count of 1193. :)
