Hi,

About a year and a half ago, I started my online store on Facebook. I buy items in a specific niche and then resell them in my country (which is small, with about 2 million people).

Initially, I was one of the few selling products in this niche, but now I have over 30 competitors, many of whom are copying my ideas and texts. However, most of them lack marketing skills and budget, so they're not the main issue. The real problem is that a few pages are doing more marketing, spending more on Facebook ads, and offering products at prices that are 35% cheaper than mine.

In the last 3-4 months, my sales have dropped by over 40% because of these competitors.

My prices are already very low, and I haven't changed them since I started the store. But everything else has become more expensive, and I'm struggling to keep up.

I'm considering increasing my marketing budget, but I feel like I need to take action against these competing Facebook pages.

Several times a day, my customers send me pictures of products they found cheaper elsewhere and didn't buy from me. It's frustrating and upsetting.

Does anyone have any advice?

Certainly, acclimate yourself to it; that's the nature of capitalism, my friend!

Greetings! Approximately 18 months ago, I launched my Facebook online store in a niche market. I procure items within a specific category and subsequently resell them within my home country, a small nation with around 2 million people :D.

Initially, I may have been among the pioneers in selling products within this niche. However, over the course of a year and a half, I witnessed the emergence of 30+ new competitors. Many of them resorted to duplicating my texts, ideas, and overall approach. While a significant portion lacked marketing skills and budget, the real challenge arose from 1-3 pages that invested more in marketing, spent extensively on Facebook ads, and priced their products over 35% lower than mine.

Over the last 3-4 months, my sales have plummeted by 40% or more, primarily due to the competition from 1-2 other Facebook stores. Despite maintaining low prices since the inception of my store, I'm confronted with the dilemma of considering a price increase, as the cost of everything has risen.

While I'm prepared to boost my marketing budget, the real struggle lies in dealing with these competing Facebook pages. I find myself contemplating drastic measures, even contemplating the deletion of their pages.

Compounding the issue, my customers frequently share images demonstrating that they've found cheaper alternatives elsewhere, leading to frustration and a decline in sales. 😡 😢

Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated!
I'll emphasize once, or perhaps a million times, that expending your energy on attempting to destroy a competitor's Facebook page is only self-defeating. Instead of fixating on such actions, you could channel that energy into exploring new opportunities. By letting someone rent space in your head for a negligible cost, you're hindering your own progress. Moreover, such activities are not permitted here, so I urge you to redirect your focus towards more productive endeavors.

Strive for improvement; redirect the energy you intend to use for destruction into understanding their product supply chain and identifying their target audience, among other factors.

"I need to dismantle and erase their Facebook page" is not a wise approach. Rather than contemplating ways to overcome the competition, redirect your efforts towards creating and developing content and images for your products. Additionally, explore suppliers who offer lower prices while maintaining quality assurance, or consider higher-priced suppliers with superior quality compared to your competitors.

Although I concur with the sentiments expressed by fellow MMO users, if you persist in seeking unfavorable outcomes for them, there's a straightforward method to achieve it: inundate their posts, particularly ads, with likes from subpar providers. A substantial influx of irrelevant likes will significantly undermine their macro conversion efforts, as they'll be investing in bot-generated likes lacking genuine engagement. Numerous SMM providers are available on BHW for carrying out such actions.
Having said that, @Mane.D, it would be more beneficial for you to focus on optimizing your unit economics and enhancing your service offerings.

Consider reaching out to Facebook and initiating the process for image copyright protection. In Vietnam, this is commonly referred to as Facebook Right Manager, and the associated cost is typically around $200-$300.

I'm interested in making a purchase; do you have any contact information?

Attempt to market a distinct product to avoid imitation, and a lower price consistently leads to a win-win situation.

Shift your mindset. Avoid investing your time and effort in pursuits like this.

There are methods to negatively impact others' pages, but often, it's more effective to focus on improving your products or surpassing them through legitimate means.
If the issue lies in them outpricing you, perhaps consider reallocating the marketing budget towards negotiating a better deal with your supplier, given the insights you've shared.

You should curb that attitude. You're not the sole individual capable of marketing and selling on Facebook.

Boosting your own candle's brightness doesn't happen by blowing out someone else's.

Enhance your off-site SEO for your Facebook pages to surpass them in both Facebook and Google search results. Beyond that, your ability to outperform the competition is limited unless your prices, support, service, and benefits align with or exceed those of your competitors.
I offer certain products at a premium, priced 30 to 40% higher than market rates. However, I compensate for this by delivering personalized and dedicated support to my customers, a service not offered by my competitors.

The products are identical on both pages, catering to the same customers and locations. What perplexes me is why there seems to be no possibility for you to reduce the price, especially if they can offer the same products at a 35% or more discount, as you mentioned.

Now is the moment to explore product suppliers in China. This will provide you with a competitive advantage in terms of pricing against your competitors. Keep in mind that selling 1000 products with a $1 profit margin per item can be more profitable than achieving a $10 profit on a single product with a limited sale of 10 items.

being the early entrant in a market or industry was a valuable concept, and you played that role. However, it's time to shift gears. Apply the lessons learned and embark on a new business venture.
Engaging in pricing wars seldom results in a sustainable long-term strategy.

You may not eliminate your competitors, but by competing on both price and quality, you can secure the buyer's victory.
