Hello,
I'm starting an e-commerce business to sell my jam, pickles, and extra virgin olive oil. I want to sell on Amazon, but beyond just creating product pages, I see that the main challenge for growth is using Amazon FBA and getting Prime eligibility.
For example, to use FBA for one of my products, a 200g glass jar of jam that weighs 350g including the jar, the selling price is 5-6 euros. It costs me 2.00 to 2.80 euros to produce. However, Amazon FBA charges 4.08 euros for storage in Italy and shipping across Europe. This could be profitable if sold in Germany where the price might go up to 10 euros, but most competitors sell similar industrial products for 2.40 euros, which makes my product less competitive.
Do competitors have special agreements, or are there ways to make using FBA less expensive?
