Hey, I’m having some issues with the data from an ad I ran on YouTube. I used a UTM, and YouTube says it got 2,948 clicks to my website. But in Google Analytics, I only see 110 sessions. Any idea why that happens? Also, I ran the same ad through my Google Ads account, and it shows 11,210 views, but no conversion data is showing up.

We used to run affiliate programs on YouTube. YouTube counts a "click" when someone clicks your ad, but analytics counts a "session" only when the page loads completely and the tracking code works. This could explain the difference you mentioned.

For example, some people might click but close the page before it loads, so YouTube still counts it as a click. Also, many people use ad blockers that stop analytics from tracking. Plus, clicks from bots don’t create real sessions.
