Greetings,

As a new member, I am currently working on building my niche website. I am interested in finding an expired domain that would be suitable for my site.

Would anyone be able to suggest effective strategies or tools for finding the best expired domains? I would greatly appreciate any advice or personal experiences on this matter.

Thank you in advance!

Use the following resources to manage domains:

Find expired domains at Expireddomains.net
Check site history with Wayback Machine
Assess spam score with Website SEO Checker (Avoid domains with high spam scores; 0-30 is generally safe)
Check domain authority using Ahrefs Backlink Checker"

Thanks! But how can I determine if an expired domain is suitable for my niche site content?

Use Domain Hunter Gatherer, a free script, to search for expired domains.

Check MMO; there are some available there.

I also verify trademarks through this website: https://www.trademarkia.com/

Thank you all so much! I’ve finally found the perfect domain for my niche site!

Make sure to verify the domain’s cleanliness before purchasing it. Building a site on a spammy domain would be a waste of time.

I always go for .com domains—it's the only type I purchase. In fact, I just grabbed three expired domains a few minutes ago.

Great! The next step is writing content for your website. Do you have any suggestions for creating content that performs well in search engines?

@TonyTao, you really need to check the domain for spam. This means looking at things like the backlink profile, archive history, hosting details, anchor texts, and the overall history of the domain. It's not something you can learn in just a couple of days—it's a skill you'll build over time. I'd recommend buying a domain from @Nargil or another seller on the forum. Also, keep in mind that quality domains for niche sites aren’t just sitting there waiting to be registered for free. You'll probably need to get it through a broker or bid on it in an auction, because no one will just let a valuable domain go unused.
