First, you should be more clear because there isn’t a single language or framework that works for everything. But I think Rust with Axum is really good for making the backend.

Back-End Stuff

If you want something super fast and smart with how it uses memory, Rust is a great pick. It also helps catch mistakes early. Axum and Actix are two tools you can use with Rust—they're both really speedy, but Axum seems to be winning in most tests right now.

Go (or Golang) is awesome if you want something that’s simple but still pretty quick. Its built-in tools are strong enough that you might not even need to add anything extra.

Java is older, but still kicking. There’s a tool called Quarkus that actually keeps up with Go in some speed tests, which is kinda cool for Java. And even though Spring isn’t new or shiny, it’s still super popular—and I’ve made a bunch of money working with it, so it’s worth mentioning!

Making the Stuff People See (Front-End)

If you’re building the part of the website people use, tools like React or something called NextJS are good picks. NextJS is helpful when you want pages to load from the server super fast.

Astro is another tool that’s becoming more liked, especially for websites with lots of content. It also works with React and other choices.

I looked around here and couldn’t really find any jobs using React. Are there even any? Doesn’t seem like people are talking about them much.

How about Next.js?

It runs using React, and there's an extra layer built on top of that.

Just my opinion, but I think Nuxt 3 is way better than Next.js 14—it’s probably the most popular one out there right now.
