I'm planning to use the mother/child (M/C) method on Instagram with regular updates. I'm deciding between two automation programs: Sharing Tools and Instadub. If you have any recommendations, please share—I’m eager to learn.

My goal with the M/C method is to grow a marketing agency and offer services to clients in the music industry. Thanks to the great community here at MMO, I have a decent understanding of the basics.

For those who don't know, here's a simple explanation:

  • Mother Account: This is your main account.
  • Child Accounts: These are multiple secondary accounts that support the mother account.
  • How It Works: The child accounts use automated actions like follow/unfollow, liking, and AI commenting/DMing to drive traffic to the mother account.
I'm really excited to try this and have high hopes for its success.

Take a look at @susocial bot! It might seem like a lot at first, but it's totally worth it!

Good luck, buddy! I suggest you use no more than 3 scrapers for each child account. Scrapers will do the work for the child accounts, making sure they stay unnoticed by making the needed API calls.

Yes, I should definitely check them out. I saw they have a free trial right now, so I'll test the features for the next few days and see how I like them.

And here’s the man from Susocial himself, haha. I really appreciate your reply and advice. I’ll definitely add multiple scrapers per child account. One thing I’m still unsure about is whether I should add the parent account to the automation or keep it out of it completely (and not add the profile on Susocial at all). My plan was to have the child accounts direct followers to the parent account through mentions, profile links, mass DMs, and story mentions. (At least that was my thinking.)

Since you're using the mother/child method, you don't need to automate the main account, so there's no need to add it to your automation software.

Sure thing! Here's a simpler version: "Cool, I'll tell you how it goes as I get started. I've got the portable version because I'll be using it on different computers. That's a big advantage of susocial, unlike other programs like Instadub which only work on a few machines. I'm really excited about this!"

It'll be tough, but giving it a shot is worth it.

I want to express my gratitude to everyone who has wished me luck on this journey. Learning has been incredibly challenging, to say the least. There were days when I felt like giving up completely, and other days where I immersed myself in reading multiple sources and forums here, or watching breakdown videos by Dr. Jarvee.

Without further ado, here are the updates on my journey so far:
If you're considering getting into M/C, please note that it's neither easy nor an overnight process. I fell into that trap myself. However, it's absolutely worth it to learn something new and confront these challenges. Over time, if done correctly, it will be worthwhile (at least that's what many have said).

Regarding SuSocial, the interface can be quite overwhelming due to the abundance of options (though this is based on my assumption rather than a factual comparison with other programs). Despite this, my review of SuSocial remains positive. The extensive options within SuSocial make it ideal for users who desire full control over their automations, actions, and action blocks. It incorporates AI features, which I've gathered from online sources, and the Free Trial was particularly beneficial for me to familiarize myself with the product before committing.

I also ventured into using scrapers to gather data, which was challenging, especially without proxies (I'm aware proxies are necessary for proper scraper functionality; no need to remind me). However, the experience went well: I managed three accounts with custom automations for activities like follow-unfollow, liking recent posts, and viewing stories.

Moving forward, I've decided to explore Sharing Tools. The simpler interface appeals to me, and I aim to compare its features directly with SuSocial to make an informed final decision on which version suits me best.

Just a quick note for those deciding between products: Regardless of which one I choose, it's all about personal preference, not superiority. Both products have shown outstanding results with sufficient effort.

I'll update again after testing Sharing Tools.

TL;DR:
M/C is tough, but not as tough as...
SuSocial—lots of options, but very nice (Borat voice).
Now onto testing Sharing Tools! 😎
