Is Pinterest getting as tricky to use as Google?

I’ve been using Pinterest a bit (around 1–2 years now). Some of my accounts were starting to get more attention, but since yesterday, I’ve noticed a big drop in impressions, engagement, and clicks.

Today, the clicks leaving Pinterest are down by more than 65–75%.

I’ve attached screenshots from two different accounts in two different niches.

The circled parts show yesterday, when I first saw the drop. Algorithm change? Shadow ban? What do you think it might be? Has anyone else noticed something similar starting yesterday?

@korni, @Almostbr0ke, and anyone else using Pinterest—what’s your take?

I did a shadow ban check by searching my username, and it still shows up. But when I look for a pin with the exact title, it doesn’t appear even after scrolling through 90–110 pins. So I’m not sure if it’s a shadow ban or something else.

That sounds kind of weird. I’m not really sure what’s going on. I would give it maybe three or four days and see what happens.

Just wondering—did you have a lot of pins doing well, or was it mostly one or two getting most of the views?

Are you running more than one account on the same internet connection? About how many pins do you post each day? And do you keep one account for each website?

I’m about 99% sure this is an update to the system. The very same thing just happened to my account too.

I’ve seen a big drop like this before, and things went back to normal after about two days. That doesn’t mean it will for sure happen again, though. Also, your title looks really good.

Both of my accounts have several posts that are doing really well.

Each account has around 9–11 pins that are doing well. The accounts use different internet connections—one with a VPN and one with normal internet—but I don’t think that’s the problem. Pinterest has said before that the internet address doesn’t really matter.

It’s good to know it’s not only happening to me or my page.

Wow, that’s wild!

That’s the only heading I could come up with. It really shows why you shouldn’t depend on just one place for visitors. Lots of websites and businesses got wiped out because of Google.
