After achieving success in recapping TV show episodes on my monetized channel, I believe it's time to expand into the movie recap niche.

This particular niche offers great potential as all you need to do is provide commentary over 5-8 movie clips and still images. The length of the video doesn't matter; the key is to transform the content with your own commentary.

My focus will be on specific movie scenes, similar to what I've done with TV shows. This approach is easier since I'll be discussing person scenes rather than summarizing the entire movie. I'll choose whichever approach is more convenient for me.

In my successful TV show recaps, I've adopted an opinionated style rather than simply reading out what happened in the episode. I find that this approach humanizes the content and encourages viewers to participate in the comments section, sharing their own opinions.

I have a few movies in mind to start with, but before diving into this new niche, I plan to acquire a second monetized channel.

One aspect I appreciate about this niche is its relative automation compared to trendy TV show recaps. I won't need to post as frequently on this channel since I've noticed that many channels in this genre don't upload content frequently. Instead, videos tend to grow steadily over time. I've even had a movie clip from 2020 accumulate 250,000 views, and if I can implement a safer strategy within YouTube's monetization guidelines, this channel could become highly profitable.

To make my content stand out more in search results, I intend to incorporate a mix of older movie clips, rather than solely focusing on newer releases. This way, my content will have a unique edge. Channels that cover popular topics like Spider-Man or other comic-based movies often face tougher competition.

I'll provide updates on my journey in this new niche as time progresses.

Based on your previous successes, I believe you should give it a try. However, when it comes to copyright issues, how do you plan to address and mitigate them?

Thank you for the appreciation. It sounds like you have a solid plan in mind. Once you acquire your next monetized channel, you intend to leverage your past success to transition into the movie niche. Regarding copyright issues, you plan to adopt a similar approach as you did with TV shows, keeping the videos running for a short duration, typically 5 seconds but potentially stretching it to 7-8 seconds. If any copyright claims are made by the studios, you will avoid challenging them, even for fair use, to steer clear of potential legal complications. This channel will serve as a testing ground to determine the limitations and restrictions involved with movies, which might be more stringent compared to TV shows. Additionally, you're considering purchasing another channel as a backup in case your current channel faces demonetization in the future.

Indeed, movies come with stricter copyright regulations. It's crucial to exercise caution in that regard. Additionally, when purchasing YouTube channels, it's highly recommended to use an Escrow service for a secure and trustworthy transaction.

Indeed, movies present unique challenges, and you've had significant issues with them in the past. Focusing on older movies is a wise decision.
It's great to hear that you have experience in buying and selling channels and have established trust with reliable sellers. Using a website with an escrow service adds an extra layer of security to prevent scams, as it's crucial to be cautious and choose trustworthy people when engaging in channel transactions.

That sounds like a great approach. As you mentioned, transforming the clips in some manner, keeping them brief, and incorporating commentary over the video can be effective. Wishing you the best of luck with your endeavors!
Absolutely, transforming the clips serves as a protective measure for those venturing into this niche, ensuring their safety. Keeping the clips short minimizes the risk of copyright claims. It's essential to include your own audio commentary instead of letting the original video audio play, as that can lead to issues.
You're most welcome! I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors, my friend!
