I saw some hostings providing HDD hosting lol

What are advantages HDD over SSD?

Thanks.

NVMe is now practically standard in any real hosting environment.

HDD for file-sharing sites because it is less expensive to scale.
For blogs or similar projects, I don't see why HDD should be preferred over SSD/NVMe.

HDDs are fine for archiving data, but they are virtually unusable for modern websites. With hdd, your site will have a terrible first byte time. Choose a host that does not support SSD.

SSD is at LEAST four times faster than HDD... And NvME is at least 10x faster - considering the price difference between hdd and SSD or even nvme is negligible at best, yes is definitely worth it. If having decent core metrics and thus having a snowball's chance in hell of ranking is all that matters to you, then absolutely yes.

For storage, HDDs are less expensive and have a larger storage capacity than SSDs and NVMes.

SSHD - HDD capacity with small SSD particles. Good option for low-cost solutions; not the fastest, but faster than HDD.

SSD and NVMe - more expensive, but faster speed and transfers for sharing, copying, encoding, and so on. NVMe is more powerful than SSD but more expensive.

SSD and NVMe storage are only viable options if you can afford and pay for them. That is the true question. Can you afford to pay? Yes, then.

It will be difficult to find a web hosting provider that does not provide ssd/nvme storage. Unless they've been around since the beginning of the millennium, almost every server these days has ssd/nvme hard drives.
