I have a dropshipping eCommerce website that's been making around $52k - $83k in monthly revenue consistently for the past 8-9 months. It’s a well-known brand in a growing market with strong profit margins of over 30%. I’ve been reading some threads here, and I’m wondering if it’s a good idea to sell it now or if I should wait the typical 24-36 months for the highest valuation. I know investors will value its potential, but I’m worried that listing it on platforms like Flippa might inspire competitors to copy the business model. The competition for marketing is still manageable, but the idea itself isn't groundbreaking—it's just filling a gap in the market.
Would selling now be worth it, or is the risk of attracting too many competitors too high? Or do you think it’s too soon, given it’s only been 8-9 months, even though all marketing strategies are in place, and we’re #1 for all SEO keywords with around 6,000 - 9,000 organic visits per month (not including social media or paid ads, just SEO traffic—overall traffic is about 20k+ monthly)?
