Hello everyone,
Today, I want to share how I earned over $10k on Upwork with some of the simplest yet highly sought-after jobs. These roles are in high demand and pay well. Updated for 2024.
I must admit, I'm not a full-time Upwork freelancer. I work there during my free time, primarily to manage funds for my paid PPC campaigns.

Starting out:
After diving into Affiliate Marketing, I realized a big initial budget was needed to test and gather data for successful campaigns. But I was on a budget. So, I needed to find at least $2,000 to start paid campaigns.
I thought about how to manage this money. After a few days of research, I saw Upwork as a good option. I could sell my skills there.
So, what's my skill?
I could make money on Upwork by selling my skills. But what skill should I sell?
After more research, I learned a lot about technical aspects for affiliate marketing: WordPress, Clickfunnels, Landing Page design, sales funnels, Email Marketing & Social Media, etc. But I wasn't sure which skill to focus on.
Then I decided to organize my profile creatively so I could apply for easy jobs that match all these skills.
Optimizing Upwork Profile:
I found that you can optimize your Upwork profile with 4 variations. So, you can add four different skills and bid on different jobs with different profile structures. Let me explain:
I picked 4 skills:
Good site : Naizop.com
Boost your presence on Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, and more. Explore the site for service ideas and package offerings to deliver to clients. It requires minimal effort—all you need to do is sell and promote yourself.
These jobs offer significant advantages—they're often recurring. Established businesses with email lists or social media accounts need regular management. Secure a few clients, deliver excellent service, and they'll pay you month after month, year after year. No need to constantly find new clients.
With just 2-3 clients, you can easily earn $1,000+ monthly, spending only a few hours in your spare time. But expertise is key.
Why did I choose Upwork over creating a marketing agency?
The answer is straightforward. Selling skills isn't my primary focus; it's simply a part-time means to fund my paid campaigns.
The main reason is that Upwork provides hot leads actively seeking freelancers for their projects. This saves me valuable time and money that would otherwise be spent on client acquisition.
But don't you need money to buy connects on Upwork?
I think it's actually beneficial. Spammers are deterred because they're unwilling to invest in connects. Those without skills won't purchase connects to apply for jobs, reducing spam significantly.
So, who buys the connects?
Those who are confident and understand how to navigate the platform.
Think of it like a business investment. When you buy connects, you're purchasing hot leads. Your job is to convert these leads into your ideal clients.
For just $12 a month, you receive 80 connects. Even landing a $200 job turns a profit.
How I Organized My Bids:
With 80 connects, I can bid on 60 jobs. I decided to focus my bids on specific categories, dividing them as follows:
Now, it's time to apply for the job.
Initially, landing a job on Upwork without prior good feedback wasn't easy. However, after completing a couple of jobs and earning positive feedback, securing new jobs became easier.
To stand out, I took a creative approach. Instead of a traditional written cover letter, I recorded 1-2 minute videos using my smartphone, tailored to each job post. In these videos, I explained how I could contribute to the specific project.
I believed that clients often receive standard written cover letters, so presenting something unique could make a difference. And it did—this approach worked effectively for me.

First and foremost, believe in yourself. Here are two quick tips:
- Visit Fiverr.com or PPH.com and search for your keyword (e.g., Email Marketing, Social Media Management, WordPress). You'll find many people selling similar services. Filter by "Best Seller," "Top Rated," or check gigs with the highest sales numbers.
You can gather content ideas from these successful gigs because their content is likely effective. - Search on Google:
Keyword + Services + in + city/country
For example: "sales funnel design services in Toronto"
Explore different service-based websites across various cities and countries.
Notice how they structure their services and try to sell them.
What specific offerings do they have? Is there any particular content that stands out to you?
This process is straightforward:
Research → Find the best content → Get ideas → Adapt and personalize the content to make it your own!
