SEO Guide: Conducting Keyword Research for Free

Thanks! Could you write more about on-page SEO, like the ideal content length for a keyword and how many supporting subtopics (child content) should link to the main content?

Thanks again!

Maybe in the future!

In the meantime, you can check out this helpful guide: Ahrefs On-Page SEO. It's a great starting point.

A quick tip on content length: it really depends on the competition on the first page. If most of the top pages are around 1,000 words, I’d aim for 1,500 words. If they’re 3,000–5,000 words, I’d go for 5,000–6,000. Always aim to have one of the longest pieces in the top 3 results.

KeywordChef.com offers this feature—they have an option for finding forums.

I haven’t used the tool much myself, but do they have a filter that shows only keywords with forum pages ranking? That would be the ideal way to find thousands of keywords where one or more forum pages are showing up in the search results.
