Do you recommend using Jungle Scout for finding wholesale products? What should I avoid when selecting a wholesale item?
I don’t recommend using Jungle Scout or Helium 10 for wholesale products; I rely on Keepa instead. The most effective method for finding wholesale products is the seller snippet method. Here’s how it works:
Go to a random category, such as pet supplies, and click on a product with 10 or more sellers.
Identify sellers with fewer reviews and those who are new to FBA.
Copy the seller ID, paste it into Keepa, and apply filters based on your criteria.
You can source products effectively this way, as products sold by sellers with only a few hundred reviews often indicate good sourcing potential.
When selecting products, avoid those with unstable Best Seller Rank (BSR) over the past three months. Base your sourcing price on the three-month average FBA price and Buy Box price, which you can find on Keepa. Additionally, avoid “me-too” products with only one or two FBA sellers; there should be at least three FBA sellers for a more viable opportunity.
