eBay UK - How to Prevent MC081 Suspension for New Accounts?

Hi, I live in the UK and have access to dynamic IPs without using a proxy or VPN.

I've tried a lot of things, like using VMware, different browsers with different resolutions, and even changing my name, email, and address for every new registration... but I still get the eBay MC081 suspension.

I don’t think eBay is detecting me directly, but more likely, their algorithm is using other factors, like checking the name and address together.

Do I need to provide the real first and last name of the person who currently lives or used to live at that address, especially if eBay is pulling data from other accounts tied to that address?

I’m just using standard browsers like Chrome, Edge, and Firefox—no special settings like ad blockers or anti-fingerprinting.

Ugh, eBay is so frustrating.

Nope, you don't need to use real info for your current address right now, but later on they’ll probably ask for real stuff.
Are you still using the same internet company, just a different IP?
Did you ever try making an account using mobile data instead?

I tried using different IPs and even mobile data.
But the account always gets hit with MC081 — either like 30 minutes after making it or sometimes a few days later.

Man, this stuff gets really annoying.
If you find something that works, please let me know. Appreciate it!

Right now, I’m thinking about using real people's names with some random address.
If eBay decides to get tougher, then we’ll just have to step it up too.

Here’s the full message eBay sent.

Your account has been put on hold.

We want to inform you that your eBay account has been permanently closed due to actions we believe could have harmed the eBay community. We know this might be upsetting, but we had to make this choice to keep the marketplace safe for everyone. For more details, check out our guide on why accounts can be suspended or review our User Agreement.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • You won’t be able to buy or sell with this account, and any new accounts you create could be suspended too.
  • All of your listings have been removed, but you can see them below.
  • We’ve refunded the fees for your listings, except for the transaction fees on items that were already sold.
  • Any unpaid selling fees will still be charged to your payment method. If you’ve filed disputes about these fees, they won’t be charged until those are resolved.
  • Your store subscription has been canceled.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. We’re happy to assist.

I’ve worked with MC078 a few times, and it can be tricky. Sometimes, eBay spots accounts because of connected info like addresses, cookies, and old account history. Have you tried changing more than just the IP and browser settings? I might know some tips that could help.

I don’t think you’re sharing everything. eBay wouldn’t suspend your account if you didn’t do anything wrong, unless you’re trying to make a lot of accounts at once, which sets off warnings. Something is connecting your accounts, and you need to find out what it is. Using a clean IP and a new device should help.

I’m telling you everything. Are you able to make UK eBay accounts? Because different eBay regions might have different rules.

I always use a new browser, IP, email, phone, name, and address, but the account still gets locked right after I create it.

Every time I start fresh, even changing the screen settings with VMware.

Which country’s eBay do you usually make accounts for?

Do you make accounts and try to sell stuff right after?
