Hi everyone! I’m trying to figure out the best ways to grow Instagram followers naturally in about 2025. Since the app keeps changing, I want to know what still works without paying for ads.
I’m wondering stuff like:
• What kinds of posts make people like and comment the most?
• Are hashtags still a big deal?
• Does it help to post a bunch of times each week?
• Are Reels still the easiest way for new people to find you?
• And how do you make a group of fans who stick around for a long time?

If you have any other ideas, feel free to add them.
If you’ve gotten your Instagram to grow on its own lately, I’d love to hear what helped you and what mistakes I should stay away from. Thanks for all the help!

• What kinds of posts make people like and comment the most?

For sure, short videos are the best choice, especially ones that use popular sounds. The biggest thing is to keep posting and not give up. You have to be patient until one video gets a lot of views. Once that happens, more and more people start finding your page, like a snowball rolling downhill.

• Are hashtags still a big deal?

Not really. It doesn’t help your posts reach many people anymore like it did a few years back.

• Does it help to post a bunch of times each week?

Yes, posting regularly is very important.

• Are Reels still the easiest way for new people to find you?

Like I said earlier, the answer is yes.

• And how do you make a group of fans who stick around for a long time?

Talking with your followers is important.
Reply to comments and messages so people feel noticed.
Pay attention to what’s popular right now.
Post things your followers enjoy, and slowly change your plan as you learn what works best.

Reels is still the easiest way for people to find you, and posting often shows your account is active, so more people want to follow.
Hashtags still matter too. When I’m looking for something on Instagram on my computer, I can only search for accounts or hashtags.
If I don’t know a specific account, I use hashtags to see what people are sharing about a topic.
Lots of others probably do the same, so using good hashtags is still helpful.

Short videos can really work, but only if they are your own. Instagram can tell when something is copied, and those posts don’t get shown as much. When you share fresh, original videos, they are more likely to reach the Explore page. We saw this happen while testing it on over 420 devices.

I’m learning this too.

What I’ve noticed is that every kind of post has its own best time to go up. That includes the topic, the type of post, and the way it’s made. Each combo seems to work better at a certain hour.

To figure it out, I post once an hour on different days and watch what does best until I find the right time. That alone can help your page start getting more views, as long as the content is good and made by you.

As soon as you switch topics, you have to start testing again.

Also, watch every small detail in the videos you make. I noticed that IG sends a lot of my short videos to people in India, so when I include an Indian girl, the video does really well. When I don’t, it flops.

Think carefully about each part of how you make your content. When you do that, you’ll slowly figure out what works best and help your page grow fast.
