Creating a case study on the process of launching a cryptocurrency news website.

Site Update

We’ve made big changes and are now focusing on reaching 20 posts a day.

Right now, I have one writer, and I’m working alongside him to keep motivation high until I can bring in more help. We’re currently at 7-8 posts daily—a great start! We’re set to pass 50 total posts today, with a word count just under 25,000.

August: 77 visitors
Yesterday: 32 visitors (see details below)
Updates:

Added analytics to the dashboard and removed Monster for tracking.
Shared two posts on social media:
Post A: A test post to get community feedback on my writer’s style. This helped him improve, and now he’s producing even better content.
Post B: Targeted to bring in some quick traffic and observe browsing habits. It attracted over 30 visitors, giving insight into ways to increase their time on the site.

Next Steps for the Site

I’ll be adding 3-5 pages of simple, easy-to-read content daily. My goal is to make complex crypto terms accessible for everyone by breaking down industry jargon that often confuses general readers.

Exciting news—I just secured my first major interview with a big crypto brand (one I work with!). I hope they’ll invite me to their blockchain network for future exclusive interviews.

Goals Moving Forward:

Stick to 12 posts daily (scaled back a bit)
Land interviews with two well-known crypto companies
Reach 100 visitors in a single day
Hit 1,000 visitors in one month
Get 5 quality backlinks with keyword-rich, long-tail content
The scale-back isn’t due to workload—it’s to allow time for analyzing user habits and improving content for reader satisfaction, aiming to increase time on site and reduce bounce rates.

Cool idea! I’m thinking about trying something similar.

Are you just using SEO for traffic? Why not try social media too?

There are already tons of crypto news sites, and anyone can start one with RSS feeds. It might be better to focus on an email series or a membership Discord instead.

Doubt is what drives me!

If I make it happen, it means I went beyond what anyone expected.

Check back in a month!
