Facebook Business Manager verification — a lifesaver or just another one of Meta’s tricks?

Lately, I’ve noticed a lot of talk about getting your Business Manager verified. Some folks believe it’s the best way to keep your account running smoothly and grow safely. But others say that once they verify, Meta watches their accounts more closely — and even small issues can get them flagged.

I don't think this is true. It's pretty obvious that in the past few days, Facebook has been checking BM accounts, which has led to many of them getting disabled. On the other hand, personal accounts seem to be doing just fine.

I think verifying mainly helps those who follow the rules. People who do things that aren’t allowed will get flagged and blocked faster once they verify.

Yes, checking your account can help it work better and last longer, but it’s not a magic shield. The company can still look things over if something seems strange. I think checking is only one step — it also helps to use the account normally, keep things steady, and post clean, good content.

It’s true the big account system can get hit pretty hard during these checks, but saying regular personal accounts are “more steady” isn’t something we can be sure about. Personal accounts might get fewer checks at first, but once something important gets removed, it’s very tough to get it back. Bigger account systems at least have a clearer way to ask for help when something goes wrong.
