Hey everyone,

After over 5 years, our Google Ads account got suspended for "compromised site" and "circumventing systems." We’re not sure what "circumventing systems" means, but our site was actually hacked. To fix it, we completely rebuilt the site from the ground up on Framer, so it’s now fully secure.

We’ve appealed about five times, but each time it gets rejected for the "compromised site" reason, even though the site is brand-new.

We’ve been unable to reach Google support, despite spending around $600k on ads.

Does anyone have any advice or maybe a contact at Google? Any help would mean a lot!

Thanks,
Jon

Many people are going through this. There are so many warnings about compromised sites and disapprovals. At most, you just get an email saying, "We can confirm your site has harmful links or content, but we won’t tell you what they are." It's like dealing with a government agency. People have cleaned up their sites, changed servers, and still get the "compromised site" message. It’s really upsetting and frustrating. Maybe their profits this year will show how much this is affecting things.

A lot of times, they label some JavaScript libraries as unknown files or images from third-party sites. If you're using JavaScript from lesser-known sites, try replacing it. Also, make sure there are no 404 errors (check the console for that).

Your site is marked as Compromised in Google Ads because of:

Missing SSL certificate → Google might see it as unsafe.

Blacklisted by Google → You can check this in Google Search Console under Security Issues.

Third-Party JavaScript or Images → Some libraries or images are flagged as suspicious.

404 Errors → Broken links or missing files (check the browser console). → Avoid links from third-party sites.

Once you fix these issues, you can appeal, and your site should be back up.

If you have affiliate links on your site and are using tools like pretty links, try using the raw affiliate links instead. That worked for our site.

How do you not have a dedicated manager after spending $600k? What country are you in? My accounts get contacted after spending way less, are you sure no one from your email tried to reach out to you?

Did any email answer your appeal saying something like, "We won’t reactivate this account"? If yes, then there’s no reason to appeal again.
Google doesn’t care even if someone spent about $1.1 million on ads. Google Ads can be really tough. They make enough money from big brand companies already.

That’s tough. Spending around $610K and still getting ignored is crazy. If appeals don’t help, try using another Google Ads account or a different website. You could also ask for help from a Google Ads rep if you know one, or try posting on the Google Ads Community and Twitter (X). Sometimes, public pressure helps. Hope you figure it out!
