Hello everyone,
I am 24 years old and I am in the process of creating my own company. I recently joined this community. I quit my job one year ago to pursue my dream of being an entrepreneur and achieving financial independence. However, I have been feeling very lonely during this journey.
I come from a family of public teachers and they don't understand why I quit my job that paid 3000 euros per month to pursue my entrepreneurial dream. At family dinners, I find myself constantly having to explain and justify my decision.
I work from home and spend most of my day alone, sitting at a table and working on my computer. My boyfriend's family has a different mindset - they believe in big studies, big jobs, and big salaries in big companies. They expect my boyfriend to pursue a high-paid job in a multinational company and have a good resume.
I don't have any friends who share my entrepreneurial mindset. Everyone I know is focused on going to school, applying for jobs, and following the traditional path that has been set for them.
I aspire to become a symbol of entrepreneurial success in France, despite coming from a financially challenged background. My father's suicide during my childhood and my grandfather's death from cancer when I was 18 have shaped my life. My mother and I lived in a small studio, and I didn't have my own bedroom until I turned 16. My ultimate goal is to become a millionaire, own a house in the mountains, and have a residence in Cap d'Antibes, where my grandfather used to take me in his car. I also want to donate money to families in need and engage in humanitarian missions, rather than working until I'm 60 years old.
However, I am unable to share my aspirations with anyone since people will likely view them as unrealistic and tell me to be more practical. I feel lost and unsure of who to turn to since my intense drive and passion cannot be expressed externally, leaving me feeling unfulfilled.
A few months ago, I began to experience feelings of depression, which has started to affect my work. I used to be highly motivated, but now I struggle to find the drive to wake up each day. After reading "Think And Grow Rich" I decided to join the community in the hopes of connecting with like-minded people who have big dreams and aren't afraid to share them with the world. I am looking forward to meeting new people.
