Our website was launched 3.5 months ago and we have invested significant time and effort into creating around 100 high-quality articles without engaging in any shady practices like link building. Initially, the site was indexed without any issues. However, when we ran a "site:website.com" query after 1.5 months, we noticed that fewer and fewer pages were appearing on Google's index. Currently, only 4 pages are indexed and no new pages have been added for the past 2 months, except for the homepage and random about pages, with no actual articles indexed.
Interestingly, when we searched for specific keywords using the "site:website.com random keyword" query, most of the articles appeared in the search results. In Search Console, we did not receive any warnings and all pages were reported to be indexed.
We launched three more sites 1.5-2 months ago, investing a significant amount of time and money into creating high-quality informational content and guides. However, the same issue has started to occur with all of them - initially, they were indexed, but over time, fewer and fewer pages have remained in the index. No warnings were given in Search Console and it shows all pages as indexed, but in reality, the "site:website.com" query shows that the pages have disappeared from the index.
We are wondering if this is normal for a sandbox period or if Google is somehow "secretly banning" all our new sites. We haven't launched any new sites in a long time, so we are unsure about the current trends. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Are there any steps we can take to resolve this?
