GOALS Achieving $1500/Month Milestone with KDP, Apple iBooks, and Beyond.

GOALS
"Wow, great job! Best of luck reaching your goal of 1500. This is really interesting, and I’ll definitely look into it too. By low content, do you mean drawing books or short informational books?"

"That's an interesting story! Good luck on your journey. When you mention 'low content,' are you referring to books with 20-30 pages or fewer?"

Thanks! I write books on various topics related to low-content books, and both of those are included."

"Thanks! The low content of books isn’t tied to the number of pages. For example, some of my books are 90 pages long, while others are 30."

"Wish you all the best!"

"Thank you!"
"Wishing you the best of luck, my friend! I'm also interested in KDP."
"Thanks! I'm planning to post an update on Wednesday or Thursday."

"Thanks for the clarification! I hope you don't mind me asking—I'm new here—what exactly does a low-content book consist of? If you could provide an example, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!"

"For example, notebooks are considered low-content products. You can find more details by searching on Google."

"Do Apple Books authors need to use a VPN, or do they accept everyone? Where can I sign up? Do you have a link? Thank you!"

"That's interesting! How long does it take to create a book? Good luck!"

"Got it, thanks for clarifying and pointing me in the right direction!

"You're welcome!"

"You can use Apple Books for Authors, but you'll need an Apple computer. I didn't use a VPN."

"These days, I can create a book in about three days. Thanks!"

Hey there, I've been engaged with Amazon KDP for 12 months now. In Jan of last year (2022), I kickstarted my journey by setting up my Amazon KDP account and publishing a few books as a beginner. As time progressed, I delved into numerous YouTube videos on the subject, dove deep into niche topics, and consistently crafted books centered around these themes. Here's a glimpse of my outcomes after 12 months:

I've decided to unpublish 296 of my books as they appeared too amateurish, leaving me with a current total of 524 books. Admittedly, most of my books have relatively low content.

At present, my monthly income stands at $200. In my country, Turkey, a sum of around $1000-$2000 is considered sufficient for a comfortable standard of living.

This month, I ventured into creating an Apple iBooks author account, although I haven't published any books on it yet. I'm in the process of understanding how it works.

Furthermore, I'm gearing up to sell some e-books on my website, which is currently under construction. I'm diligently organizing and working on it, with a target completion date set for the end of March (currently at 60% completion).

Jan 2023 Monthly Objectives:

  1. Publish approximately 20-30 books, acknowledging that despite their low content, the preparation process is time-intensive.
  2. Increase my income for Dec by 10% compared to the previous month. Anticipating a Nov income of $300, my goal for Dec is $350.
  3. Publish at least one book on Apple iBooks.
  4. Establish a YouTube channel to promote my books on both Apple iBooks and Amazon KDP. The plan includes sharing concise videos on the channel.
  5. Leverage my design skills (Canva Pro) by creating a designer account on Creative Fabrica. Having applied for it yesterday, I anticipate a response within 7 days.
  6. Finalize the setup of my self-created website for effective book sales.

March 2024 Monthly Financial Goals ($) - If achieved early, new goals will be set.
  1. Amazon KDP: $1000
  2. Apple iBooks: $300
  3. YouTube (utilizing book affiliate programs like digistore24, Amazon Associates): $200
  4. Creative Fabrica: $200
  5. My website: $300

"Update 1 (March 1, 2023)"

February turned out better than I expected. I created a YouTube Shorts channel, and although my videos haven't gained a lot of traction yet, a few have been viewed around 200-300 times. I initially thought I would make $300 this month, but I actually earned $341 with Amazon KDP.

I'm updating my KDP goal for March to $375.

Additionally, I promoted some book affiliate programs on my YouTube channel. In February, I earned $9 from affiliate marketing, and my goal for March is to reach $25 in affiliate earnings.

In summary, my total goal for March is $400.

Lastly, my Creative Fabrica designer account has been approved! I'm currently exploring it and reviewing potential opportunities.

February Results:

  • Expected KDP earnings: $300
  • Actual KDP earnings: $341.64
  • Extra earnings (affiliate marketing, etc.): $9
The February goal was achieved: ✓
If anything significant happens, I’ll post an update. Otherwise, I plan to share a monthly update at the end of each month.
Feel free to share any questions or suggestions. Thank you!

"Interesting! English isn't my first language either. Do I need to be really good at English to write like you, or is there a trick to it?"

You could utilize AI tools for writing, like ChatGPT for generating the content, and an editing platform like Grammarly for refining it.

How do you handle affiliate marketing for your book? Do you include the links directly within the book itself?

I use Amazon Associates for my affiliate program, but I'm unable to share my book links with you.

I believe he’s asking whether you include a link to your ebook in the printed edition.

Thanks for the clarification. No, I haven’t implemented your suggestion yet. I’m currently focusing on preparing A+ content, where I include all the details.
