Hey folks,
I’m trying to figure out how to share something fun online in places where lots of people hang out, like big social sites and search pages. I know these places have a bunch of rules about what you can and can’t say, so I wanted to learn from anyone who’s done this kind of thing before.
Here’s what I’m wondering:
How do you follow the rules when showing off a game that might be a little tricky to talk about? Are the big sites really picky, and what kind of words or pictures usually get the green light?
Kinds of Ads:
Are there certain styles—like pictures, short videos, or stuff that blends in with the page—that seem to work better for tricky topics? What kinds of tricks have helped you catch people’s eye and get them to click or sign up?
Finding the Right Crowd:
Since some groups are off-limits, what’s the smart way to pick who sees the message? Have you found any hobbies, habits, or kinds of people that usually work well?
Following the Rules:
What words or pictures should you totally avoid so your stuff doesn’t get blocked by the big websites?
Other Places to Share:
Besides the big names like the usual search and social spots, are there any other places—like special groups, certain partner pages, or lesser-known corners of the web—that are good for showing this kind of thing?
Checking How Things Are Going:
What are some good tools or ways to see how well your messages are doing—like figuring out who’s clicking, where they came from, and what they do after?
A Little More Info:
We want to make a smart plan that helps us reach lots of people but still follows all the rules. If you’ve tried any fun or unusual ideas that actually worked, we’d love to hear them.
Can’t wait to learn from what you’ve tried!
Big thanks in advance!
