MMO CR I’m new to crypto and need to pay a Bitcoin bill. How do I do that? (Sorry if it’s a beginner question!)

I need some help because I’m super new to crypto. I think this could be a good way to start learning with a small step.

I have a Bitcoin invoice I need to pay privately. I only have a PayPal account right now, and I don’t want to use it to pay the invoice directly (if that’s even an option).

So here’s my question: Can I make a temporary wallet just for this, buy some Bitcoin using PayPal, and then use that wallet to pay the invoice?

How do I do this step by step? Are there any apps, websites, or services you recommend? Thanks a lot for helping out someone just getting started!

This should be the go-to way to do things, if it isn’t already.

You really shouldn't be spending anything from your main wallet.

The tricky part is, it's super hard to find safe ways to swap PayPal for crypto. There are lots of scammers trying to trick people.

If I were you, I’d skip PayPal trades. It’s better to use a credit card, virtual card, or something safer.

But if you really want to try peer-to-peer (P2P) trading, make sure you do a LOT of research first. Sites like Bitpay, OKX, or Coinbase have P2P options that are a bit more trusted.

Using Trust Wallet works just fine. No big problems with it.

If you’re just getting started with crypto, an easy way is to make a short-term wallet using apps like Exodus, Electrum, or even Trust Wallet. You can get a bit of Bitcoin using PayPal on places like BitPay or Paxful, then move it over to your wallet and use it to make your payment. Just watch out for extra charges and wait times. Ask me if you get stuck!

You can buy Bitcoin using P2P on apps like Bybit, Binance, or Paxful, and pay with PayPal. Just remember—sometimes the extra cost can go as high as around 18–21%, so keep an eye on that.

Okay, so just making sure I got this right (still figuring stuff out). If I use Trust Wallet, can I treat it like a throwaway wallet—buy Bitcoin with PayPal, then use that wallet to pay a Bitcoin bill?
