Hey everyone,

I made a Pinterest account with an Australian IP and started uploading wallpapers.

Since I’m new to Pinterest, I don’t know a lot about how it works, so I’m looking for some tips and advice from more experienced users.

My main goal is to bring traffic to a website and make money through display ads like Mediavine or Adskeeper.

Thanks so much! :)

Make sure your images are high-quality and eye-catching. Use descriptions and titles with words that match what people are searching for. Interact with others to get more attention and slowly grow your audience. You might want to try Pinterest ads for extra traffic and to make money through Mediavine or Adskeeper, but growing your followers should come first.

Yes, those are the main things I’m focusing on. The account has only been up for 2 days, so I’ll wait at least a week to figure out what changes I need to make to improve it. Thanks so much for your valuable advice!

Based on your title, I thought you might already be getting traffic from Pinterest. Whatever strategy helped you get here, try to do more of it and make it even better to get more traffic.

Even though the last few weeks have been hard for publishers on Pinterest, what people usually suggest is posting vertical pins on topics that Pinterest users care about. You can check out the audience insights and Pinterest trends to help with this, and it’s pretty simple. Also, make sure your boards have names and descriptions that match the topics. Do the same with your pin titles and descriptions.

The account is only 3 days old, and I haven’t seen any results yet, but I’m going to stick with it for the first week and see what needs to be improved. Thanks for replying! :)

A couple of changes isn’t enough to make a judgment yet. Just keep going! Make sure to check out Pinterest trends and use what you find there.

Join group boards that match your niche to grow your reach. Being consistent with pinning and interacting with your audience is important.

Hey!

I made my first Pinterest account focused on Tropical Wallpapers: https://au.pinterest.com/tropicwavebackground/

The account was created on August 18, and here are my first results.

I’ve created 7 boards using Chat-GPT and posted twice on each board.

My current goal is to reach 1,000 impressions, and then I plan to scale up.

I made no investment yet, but I plan to invest a small amount, no more than $55.

The main goal for this Pinterest account is to turn it into a side hustle and drive traffic to a website.

P.S: If anyone has any tips or advice, feel free to share! I'm trying to learn from everyone and gain experience.

Can you let me know if I need to follow the board or not? I'm not really sure about this part of Pinterest, and I'd appreciate it if you could show me how to do it.

How do you plan to make money from it?

What does that mean? I'm not familiar with this idea yet.

Even though I'm new to Pinterest, I have experience from Facebook because I do similar work. For example, I post news, and when people click the link, they go to our website where we generate results based on their location.

How much can you make, roughly?

And what’s on the page besides the ad when someone clicks the link?

It all depends on where the click comes from; it’s geo-dependent. For example, the USA pays more. I only display ads like AdsKeeper or Google AdSense.

You add links to your pins, and for every click, it sends traffic to your website, where you can show display ads.

I don’t see any blog posts you’re pinning, bro.

You’re just posting images.

How can you make money with a wallpaper pin?

I hope you saw in the first lines, I’m trying to grow my reach and followers first :)

That’s smart advice. Don’t ever think you know it all. Keep saying, “I’m still learning.” Jot down cool ideas and things to try. Then go test them out.

You don’t need to make just one account—try building a plan instead.

Think about where you want to be in 8 or 12 years.

Try different accounts and topics. They’re free or super cheap.

Start by sharing stuff made by others to see what works.

If that does well, then make your own stuff.

You can also learn simple ways to save time using tools like little scripts or browser helpers. One tool you can try is Automa for Chrome:

It’s not perfect, but a good way to learn how to make easy tasks run by themselves.

Yeah, I see what you’re saying, but right now I just want to make sure my first account makes some money. Once that happens, then I’ll start working on more accounts.

I can’t really reuse stuff on new accounts since they’re about different topics.

Also, what do you mean by “make your own stuff”?

I made a little test script with Automa that takes a screenshot of my Pinterest stats—just playing around with it. Later on, I’ll figure out what else I can make it do.

Hey friends,

Just wanted to show some numbers I got lately. I’ve been trying out ChatGPT to help me write titles, descriptions, and tags — it’s been pretty helpful! For finding good keywords, I’ve been using PinClicks.

Here’s how it’s been going:

I'm having a hard time getting people to save my stuff or follow me. What’s a good way to help with that? I joined one group board since someone here said it helps more people see your pins.
I’m also starting a new account, not sure what topic yet, but I think I’ll ask ChatGPT for help. I might try something like home and decorations.
