Since the significant market downturn, the value of cryptocurrencies and coins has dropped by more than 50%. Consequently, anyone who had invested in crypto before the crash has likely experienced a minimum 50% loss. It's understandable that many of us, including myself, are holding onto our investments, hoping for a recovery to previous levels. However, there is also a possibility that this new lower value is the new normal.

For instance, if you initially had $10,000 in crypto, you would now have $4,000. Companies that had invested $10 million would have lost $5 million in a similar manner. Even people like Elon Musk may have experienced losses in the ballpark of $500 million.

So, let's be honest now: How much have you lost, and are you currently holding onto your investments, hoping for a rebound to recoup your losses, rather than accepting them as official losses?

The risk lies in the potential scenario where the market continues to decline, resulting in a complete loss of investment. On the other hand, if you were to sell now, you would at least recoup 50% of your initial investment, acknowledging the 50% loss.

Feel free to share your honest experiences. Every one of us is likely in the negative at the moment. How much have you lost?

Technically, yeah, it's not a loss yet. But if it keeps going down, crashes, or never goes back to where it was, then we’d be losing. I think the old prices were too high and not realistic. Maybe what we're seeing now is more normal. Like, SOL might be overvalued at $100, and it could actually be worth $35. Do we really think SOL is going to grow by 300%? (SOL is just one example).

That doesn't make sense. When I invested $10k before the crash at $15k per BTC, I'm still at $20k. Elon Musk and all those companies made a huge profit because they invested before the crash. The only people losing are the ones who bought at the highest prices.

Actually, a lot of people, including most companies, bought at or near the top. Let me correct you. Elon Musk/Tesla bought 46,000 BTC at an average price of $32,610. MicroStrategy bought $191 million worth of BTC in April, and another $25 million in February when BTC was over $40k. These are just a few examples.

First, you're not addressing my point that only people who bought near the top are at a loss. Second, most companies definitely bought before the crash. Even Tesla is still break-even since they sold 10% near the top. But even if they didn't, just because some people bought at the top doesn’t mean everyone is in the red like you said.
