Yes, the introduction of the honey is a notable change, but it won't disrupt an established social network like Twitter. The real threats to Twitter's survival are legal issues or security breaches. Otherwise, it will continue to thrive.
 
They need to allow adult content if they want to grow as much as Twitter.

It might draw more activity to Threads, but most people on Twitter aren’t there for money. Twitter is more about having fun, and it's easier to go viral by doing something outrageous or controversial.
