MMO CR Where’s the safest place to keep my digital coins? Should I use a wallet like Metamask or Phantom, or just leave them on an app like an exchange?

I heard that cold wallets like Ledger and Trezor are the safest, but they don’t ship to where I live.

So, what should I do instead? Is it better to keep my crypto on apps like Binance, Gate, or MEXC? Or should I move it to something like Trust Wallet, Metamask, or Phantom?

If you don’t mind, could you share the apps or wallets you trust the most? Thanks a lot — really helpful!

If it were me, I’d keep the money in a hot wallet like Trust Wallet. But here are a few smart tips:

Write your secret 11–23 words in a notebook and hide it somewhere safe.

Use a different phone or tablet—not the one you use every day. If you don’t have an extra device, use a different browser.

Never click “yes” to anything weird. Don’t let the wallet connect to websites.

You don’t have to log in to see your coins—just search your wallet address to check your balance.

From all the choices out there, both Metamask and Trust Wallet work just fine. Just make sure to cancel any old permissions you gave to stuff before.

Thanks a lot!
Which one do you like best? Or do you use both of them? I’ll remember to remove all the old stuff just to be safe.

I’ve tried both, but I use Trust Wallet more than Metamask.
I just feel safer with Trust.

Metamask has been in the news a bunch—for stuff like people losing their coins or getting hacked. Like one time in 2023, there was a big story about wallets getting emptied. And in 2022, folks weren’t too happy when they said they’d start saving IP addresses.
