The app is called ‘Safepic’ by Norton.
It lets you use its own camera inside the app instead of the iPhone’s regular camera. When you take a photo, you can keep it safe in the app’s own locked and coded vault instead of the iPhone’s normal photo album.
If you want, you can also save a fuzzy version of the picture to your regular photos. The app calls this effect ‘photoblur,’ and it lets you pick from three different levels of fuzziness. You can even do this with pictures you took before using the app. To see the clear version of the fuzzy photo in your album, just press down on it and it becomes clear again.
The app hardly collects any of your information, so you can keep your important photos and memories private — without Apple or other big companies spying on your stuff or making automatic photo albums with people’s names in them (which is kind of creepy).
