I read this article [MMO/seo/selling-sneakers-on-instagram.1559675/], which gave me some good ideas and answered a few of my questions. However, I still have a couple of things I need help with regarding this market and how to find customers.
For context, I have:
An E-commerce Website
A small Instagram page
A TikTok page
I’m working on this project alone, so managing both Instagram and TikTok can get difficult, and sometimes I might not even post on them. Because of this, I’m mainly focusing on driving leads through ads, not organic traffic from Instagram or TikTok. I think running ads would be the best option since I can’t create enough content to engage followers consistently. Also, managing multiple social media pages has failed for me before, especially in different product categories. I’ve had issues with reports and ad triggers, which caused me to lose great pages without being able to recover them.
One more thing: I can’t mention any brand names on my E-commerce store because of copyright concerns and the risk of getting banned. I think this might prevent me from running Google Ads and driving search traffic to my website (but I might be wrong), so that’s not an option either.
The only option I see working right now is creating some simple ads (CREOs) and using them on Facebook/Instagram.
In the past, I’ve had great results with a warmed-up Instagram page (around 400 followers interested in the topic) and boosting basic CREOs in stories (product image, product name, product price, and discounted price). The return on investment (ROI) from this was about $100 spent, bringing in around $500 worth of purchases. But this success was because I put a lot of effort into the content on Instagram and TikTok, which had over 200k likes. Unfortunately, it all ended with an Instagram ban, likely because I mentioned a brand.
I’m looking for advice on the best approach to get leads and sales on my website, considering everything I mentioned. Feel free to suggest strategies not just for this product category, but for general approaches too.
