Youtube My thoughts on how to grow my new channel.

I started a YouTube channel about a month ago. I act as a jester, painting my face, dressing in silly outfits, and having my friend hit me with different things in the... well, you know, in the 'balls.' That’s the whole content for now, at least because I want people to get used to my style and specific actions.

But I need to promote it. I tried promoting my channel on TikTok. I posted twice a day on TikTok (since it gives you free views). I shared clips from my YouTube videos, but I only got about 200 views per video and gained 4 followers in a month or two, which is really low. I think TikTok isn’t great for clips like mine, and it's more about original videos made just for TikTok. This method didn’t work, and now I think I’d need to create different videos specifically for TikTok since I mainly focus on making and editing videos for YouTube.

Since the last method didn’t work, I’ve been thinking about paying some YouTubers to react to my videos. My videos are fun and silly, so they might find it interesting to react to them, and people might enjoy watching the reactions. This is my current plan to promote my channel, hoping I can attract viewers from other YouTubers who are up for reacting to my content.

What do you think about this idea?

Wait, are you for real? You dress up like a clown and get hit in the you know where? I'm speechless.

I don't even think YouTube would let you make money off of that kind of video, haha.

You might want to consider exploring other types of videos that are more wide-ranging or popular.

That sounds like a cool channel! Try leaving comments on other channels similar to yours, and hopefully, people will check out your channel and hit subscribe. Good luck!

That works even better sometimes. It's not always about how good, but how far you can reach... it's a good idea to pay YouTubers to react.

Yes, I'm serious. I'm not sure if they'll allow you to make money from it. I'm not sure which rule it might break. It's kind of like a Jackass thing, let's say.

You might want to consider exploring other types of videos that are more wide-ranging or popular.

It will happen sooner or later.

Try making short videos on TikTok and add a link to your YouTube channel in your bio.
I gave it a try, but it's not working.

Post in other channels of your niche, for example.

The real question is, are you serious? I've seen YouTube videos with violence that get monetized, which are way worse than a clown in a costume getting hit in the nuts. There are also videos with sexual content that get monetized, and no, I'm not talking about nudity or outright porn.

Well, getting hit in the nuts is a bit much... maybe try something different but in the same area.

Your idea to get YouTubers to react to your videos sounds great. Find ones with a similar vibe and contact them. Offer them something, like early access. Engage with their audience when they react. Keep your channel updated and try other platforms too. Good luck!

You can drop comments on videos that are kind of like yours. Keep putting up stuff on TikTok too. It might help to try Instagram and Facebook as well.

I don’t really want to spam everywhere. That usually doesn’t turn out well.

Why not upload to a site like Giphy and make short clips showing what you do? There are lots of sites like that, and you can add your name or logo on the videos. They also share stuff on Dailymotion and Vimeo, even if not many people visit there. And don’t forget — you could make your own website and try to show up on Google for some words people search.

That’s a smart thought!
