Hey everyone!
I once made a little over five-figures when I finished one of my old projects. I sold a health-food website and used the money to try out some new ideas. So now I want to start another adventure, but this time I’m aiming for something closer to six figures.

I work as a computer programmer, but since around 2012 I’ve also loved doing simple marketing on the side. Before, I used small tools that helped bring people from social apps over to my pages. This time, I’m switching things up—no fancy tools, no coding, just regular, honest social-media work.

Okay, now that that’s out of the way, let’s jump into the new journey!

So this isn’t something I just started. I’ve been working on it for almost four or five months, and I’ve already made some money, which I’ll talk about soon. It all began when I saw a random idea online while I was looking into using AI pictures for a blog I was thinking about. Once I realized how cool the pictures could look, I put the blog idea on pause and jumped into this new plan instead.

I learned how to use a computer program on my own machine to make a character who looked the same in every picture. I spent about a week trying tons of different things before I found a setup I liked. And if anyone’s curious, the app style I picked was one that’s pretty simple to use, even though lots of other creators choose a different one.

After I made a character I really liked and thought people might enjoy, I opened an Instagram page for her. At first I didn’t expect it to take off, especially once I realized tons of other AI-style creators already existed. Things moved slowly in the beginning, but they sped up once I started talking with other creators and used the simple social-media tricks I’d learned from my older projects.

It took me about a little over a month to reach my first thousand followers, but the next thousand came in maybe a week and a half. I hit around ten thousand somewhere between my second and third month (the app doesn’t make it super easy to see exact dates). I also made a Twitter account, but it grew about half as fast. Around three-quarters of the people who visit my paid pages come from Instagram.

Right now, I usually get around 280–520 new Instagram followers a day, with random jumps that push it over a thousand sometimes. Twitter is pretty unpredictable.

I won’t share exact numbers, but here’s a rough idea of where things stand:
IG Followers: about 42k–52k
Twitter Followers: around 14k–23k.

Alright, time for the fun part—how I earn money! My character online brings in cash through things like my two creator pages and a little extra from a new chatbot I made.

One of my pages brings in around $2.4k–$3.1k each month.
The second one earns about $900–$1.1k.
My chatbot pulled in around $280 during its first month.
I also get tips from fans, which add up to about $5k–$6k so far.

Total earnings right now: about $26k.

Not bad for the beginning of this adventure—about a quarter of the way to my main goal! I’m hoping to get close to $101k by the end of 2024, and I think I’m heading in the right direction. I’ll keep sharing updates here, and it also helps me stay focused, like in my last project. Feel free to ask questions—just keep them reasonable!

It feels awesome to be back on MMO again. I missed everyone here.
