My experiment: I used an old LinkedIn account with 400+ connections, which had many articles about SEO and digital marketing.
I created 4 posts:
  1. Two with local keywords like "top realtor in Munich" and "best cleaning firm [city]"
  2. One about hair transplants
  3. One about the "best funnel software builder"
All posts were boosted by the same PBNs as Tier 2.
Results: The local keyword posts did well, ranking at positions 2 and 5 and staying stable. The "best funnel builder software" post has stayed at position 1 for weeks. The others are ranking in the 40s.
I found this interesting and now wonder if LinkedIn Pulse gives a topical authority boost. Does Google see it that way? Or is it just a coincidence that a LinkedIn profile focused on digital marketing performs better than a Pulse article on other established marketing blogs?
What do you guys think?

Nice, I also enjoy experiments :)

Pulse might be one of the most underrated platforms, especially in the German market.

It's definitely topic-dependent, as different platforms (LinkedIn, Medium, Quora, GuteFrage.net, etc.) have their own ranking advantages in different niches.

It's particularly interesting in the German SEO field. Though it's not new, parasite SEO is starting to grow more, especially in gambling and other YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) niches.

Pulse definitely gives you an authority boost. You can rank good content on LinkedIn Pulse in minutes.
A new trend in 2024, especially in tech, is that more US sites are showing up in .de results.
This is the biggest challenge for parasite SEO for me this year.

LinkedIn is a powerful platform for professionals to network, share content, and showcase their expertise. With the rise of "parasite SEO," where smaller sites use the authority of larger sites to improve their rankings, LinkedIn has become a valuable tool for increasing search engine visibility.

LinkedIn can work wonders. I've seen many people use it to boost their rankings.
