I’ve been trying to figure out how to use AI to earn some money. For many years I worked on different popular photo pages on Instagram, and even though a bunch of them—maybe about 19 or so—got removed, I still learned a lot about making things online.
Lately, I decided to try making a super-realistic AI character. I’ve been building her for almost four weeks now. I trained model after model in Stable Diffusion 1.5 until I finally got results I liked. Then I made another model using around 110 pictures of the same character I created, but this time I trained it on SDXL. It took a little while to get everything looking right and to figure out the best prompts.
I opened a new Instagram account for the project and even put “Made with AI” in the bio, but it seems like most people don’t notice at all.
The digital character I made looks so real that if I saw her on Instagram, I’d never guess she was created by a computer. I add a tiny bit of grain to the pictures, and I use some strong models and tools to make everything look natural. When I want her to wear the same outfit in different pictures, I just fix it using Fooocus.
So what am I trying to do? My goal is to earn around $4,900 each month on a steady basis. In my country, people usually make about $470 to $510 a month, so I’m not trying to become super rich. Even about $24,000 would be enough for me to build a small family house almost anywhere here.
Here are my steps:
Day: 5
Instagram posts: 9
TikTok posts: 2
Followers: about 180
Ad spending: around $41
Money earned: $0
I’ve been getting tons of random messages, but I’m not sure if I should respond, because in the past, when I tried talking with people online for business, almost nobody ever bought anything. If anyone has ideas for turning these messages into real supporters or customers, I’d love to hear them.
My pictures usually get between 115–145 likes, plus lots of saves. The $41 I spent on ads helped me reach about 180 followers from nothing. I’m planning to keep posting on Instagram. I might also try making a Twitter/X page, but I’m not sure what kind of posts work best there. People in my country don’t really use that app much, so I’m still learning how to get attention on it.
Goal: keep sharing and promoting.

Here are my steps:
- Make a new Instagram account
- Start a TikTok page
- Set up a Meta business account (I can’t use my main one because it got blocked, so I’ll just use the boost-post tool on Instagram)
- Design the character
- Get steady, repeatable AI results
- Have a posting plan – I chose to make the page about a friendly AI character who shares travel pictures, simple outfits, and everyday moments. The photos look casual on purpose, like someone just snapped them quickly. I sometimes crop the pictures in a way that makes people curious, but nothing inappropriate. The goal is to make people wonder what the character will share next. I won’t post any “extra” content until I reach around 11,000 followers.
- Picking who to reach with boosted posts – Since the basic boost tools aren’t great at choosing an audience, I had to think hard about who would enjoy this type of page the most. I decided to start with adults around 38 to 68 years old who enjoy hobbies like cars, sports, and outdoor activities. Later, after the page grows more, I’ll also reach out to younger adults who like things such as cool gadgets and fast cars.
- Keep posting and watch for the first results
