Is TikTok being stricter about videos that aren’t new? Does the overlay trick not work well anymore?

To keep it short, over the past few months I’ve been sharing TikTok videos on more than 90 accounts using a certain reposting method.

If you’re reading this, I’m guessing you already know how that method works, so I won’t go into details.

The lower-performing accounts would still get maybe 450 views on at least one video (which I would remove after a few posts). Most accounts regularly got around 1,100 views per video. A few of them even had a couple of videos go viral with over 140k views.

Across all of these videos—including most of the weaker accounts—we avoided seeing the “Not eligible for the For You Feed” notice.

A few weeks ago, we started noticing a big shift. Now, it’s rare for our accounts to get more than 680 views on a video. The “Not eligible for the For You Feed” message seems to show up on almost every video within a couple of minutes of posting.

I don’t think this sudden change has anything to do with my setup (like SIMs or proxies). It seems more likely that TikTok made an update to crack down on unoriginal content.

I’m wondering if anyone else who reposts TikToks has seen the same thing—especially those using the overlay method or other reposting tricks, like editing bots or CapCut edits.
