I am a web developer who used Upwork to earn a decent income. I achieved top-rated status and received numerous positive reviews from clients.
Unfortunately, I made a careless decision and allowed someone else to use my Upwork account. This person promised to share a percentage of the earnings they generated. Initially, everything seemed to be going well for about two months. However, my account was eventually banned, presumably because Upwork detected that the user accessing it was located in a different continent. I attempted to dispute the situation with Upwork's support team, but they did not provide me with an opportunity to present my case. Instead, I received multiple responses stating that a request had been made to the team responsible for handling my issue.
This incident occurred approximately four to five years ago. Naturally, I am unable to create another account under my own name. I am curious if any of you believe it is possible to recover my previous account on Upwork.
