TikTok How can I verify a TikTok Shop account if I’m not a US citizen or resident?

Hey everyone,

I recently got a US-based TikTok account with 5k followers, and the TikTok Shop program is already set up. Now I need to verify the account, but they’re asking for the last 4 digits of an SSN, and as I mentioned, I don’t have one.

I’ve tried a few options, like creating a Seller Central account and linking it to my TikTok account, but they keep asking for verification of that account first.

My TikTok account is set up as a Business account, and I’ve verified all my company details, but it’s still not working.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

I'm curious, where are you buying the accounts from?

I'm also looking for solutions or workarounds with the SSN.

Do you think you can apply with an EIN number for a brand new LLC?
 
You should try to find a friend in the US or team up with someone there.
 
If you're not a US citizen or resident, you won’t be able to provide an SSN for verification. Here are some options:

1️⃣ Use an EIN – If you have a registered US business, you can apply for an EIN and use that instead of an SSN.
2️⃣ Register as a Non-US Seller – Check if TikTok Shop is available in your country and sign up through the correct region.
3️⃣ Contact TikTok Support – Explain your situation and ask if they offer alternative verification for non-US sellers.

If none of these work, you may need a US-based partner or reconsider using a US TikTok Shop account.
