Channel: US-based
Method: Using a US proxy
Hey everyone, I need some advice on improving engagement on TikTok. My page is about AI and movie characters. Here’s what I do right now:
For example, if I plan to post a SpongeBob video tomorrow morning, the night before I search “SpongeBob” and interact with related videos (usually the newest ones). I spend about 25–35 minutes liking and commenting, and sometimes sharing too. Then I close the app, reopen it, and my For You page fills up with SpongeBob content. After that, I interact again for about 15–20 minutes.
My idea is that this helps TikTok show my new video to people who already like SpongeBob. It has actually helped me get more views, but I’m also running into a few problems:
→ I usually go back and forth: one day I might get only 25K–45K views, but the next day it can jump to around 1M–2M+.
→ But when I look at another channel (let’s call it Channel A), they post less popular movies and still get 45M–55M views, which is crazy. I know they have way more followers than me, so their starting point is different—but I still don’t get how they scale so fast. Sometimes my content even does better than theirs, but I still can’t seem to reach those tens of millions of views.
→ This makes me think: if I keep changing topics and engaging with different movies, does TikTok maybe not fully understand what my channel is focused on?
I know this is a long explanation and might be a bit confusing, but this is pretty much how I’ve been using TikTok. Hopefully it helps you understand my approach, and I’d really like to hear how other people improve their engagement to get more views. Thanks a lot!

- Views
For really popular movies in the US (or around the world), my videos do very well, usually around 1.1M–3.5M views, and sometimes even 9–12M if the movie is super well-known (like The Incredibles or Cars).
→ I usually go back and forth: one day I might get only 25K–45K views, but the next day it can jump to around 1M–2M+.

- Number of Videos
Channel A usually posts only one movie per day.
- Time Needed
This way of engaging takes a lot of time. It also doesn’t scale well if I want to jump on new trends or run more than one channel later on.
I know this is a long explanation and might be a bit confusing, but this is pretty much how I’ve been using TikTok. Hopefully it helps you understand my approach, and I’d really like to hear how other people improve their engagement to get more views. Thanks a lot!
