Hey, I was just wondering something. I hear a lot of folks talk about eBay accounts and selling them, but no one really says what they’re worth. My buddy has one with about 275 good reviews, all 100% positive. It was made back in 2011 and hasn’t had any sales yet.

Is something like that even worth anything? I’m not trying to sell it—just curious if it’s valuable at all. Also, I’m in the UK, so if I started selling stuff on that account and suddenly made a bunch of sales, would that get the account in trouble?

Thanks a lot for any advice!

An eBay account that has around 270 good reviews and a perfect score but no past sales might be worth a little something, just not a lot. Since the account hasn’t been used much, it probably won’t get banned right away—but if it suddenly gets really busy, there could be problems.

How much it’s worth depends on who’s looking to buy. Usually, accounts with good reviews are seen as better than brand-new ones.

Alright, thanks! So do you think it’s better to hold on to it or let someone else have it? I get that it depends on what someone’s willing to pay, but what would be a fair price, more or less?
