MMO P&S How can I find a good WordPress developer who doesn’t cost too much?

Trying to get a really good builder for super cheap doesn’t usually turn out great. If we want things to work well, we have to spend a little more.

If what you need is pretty tricky, try putting it in the WTH area.

But if it’s just simple or medium-level work, tools like ChatGPT or DeepSeek can handle it without much trouble.

Paying less usually means getting someone who’s not that great. It’s just how it works.

There are tons of skilled folks on MMO. Just pick someone and get some help!

What do you think is the best choice?

The problem with low-cost help is you have to explain everything to the developer. Someone who knows what they’re doing usually won’t want to team up like that.

Try using a team that builds stuff instead. It’s better to spend around $1,100–$1,900 a month on that than dropping $3,100 just on one person.

You can start a post here and say how much you're able to spend. The right folks will reach out to you.

I don’t think it’ll be super cheap or really great. Someone who’s good at making stuff knows their time matters, so they usually don’t work for low pay.

HAF Section

If something costs very little, it probably won’t be great. If something is really good, it probably won’t be super cheap.

You can look on sites like Upwork or Freelancer to find developers. Try checking out people from countries like Ukraine, Belarus, or Russia. Their rates are usually lower, and many of them do pretty decent work.

Finding a Good WordPress Helper

If you want someone to help build or fix a WordPress site without spending too much, here are some easy ways to start:

Try Job Websites: Places like Fiverr, Freelancer, Upwork, and even Toptal have lots of people who know how to work with WordPress. Some charge a little, some charge more. Look at their work and see what others say about them before choosing.

Join Online Groups: You can also check out groups on Facebook, forums, or even places like Reddit. If you ask for help or look at what others say, you might find someone really good that people trust.

Look Around for the Right Person

Use Online Profiles: Lots of tech folks show their cool work on websites like GitHub or LinkedIn. You can send them a message and ask how much they charge.

Know What You Need First: Before talking to anyone, write down what you want done, how much you can spend, and when you need it finished. This makes it easier to find the right helper.

Try a Tiny Job First: Before giving someone a big job, ask them to do something small. This shows if they’re good and if they finish work on time.
