I just started selling on Fiverr. Every time I post a new gig, I get about 6-11 messages in 10 minutes.
Some people ask if the service is still available, and others send a picture saying they bought my gig and want me to scan a QR code to learn more.

I knew these were low-level scams, so I ignored them at first. I reported and blocked them.
Last night, another scammer messaged me saying he wanted to buy my service and sent a picture of a payment page asking for my email. I gave it to him out of curiosity.
A few minutes later, he said the payment was done and told me to check my email. I got an email from Fiverr saying I had a new order, but when I checked my Fiverr dashboard, there was no order.
He asked me to accept the order. I didn’t want to waste time, so I blocked him too.

But I still don’t get how he could actually get money from me.

These are CPA marketing tricks, which have been used on Fiverr for a long time by CPA marketers.

I still don’t get why they use email to create fake orders. What comes next? What are they trying to do? From what I’ve seen, their account gets blocked in about two days.

So far, they’ve had some wins.
That’s why they keep trying.
They found a way in and use it.

It's turning into a big playground for kids. Now, everyone just wants to make quick and easy money. The same thing happened when those strange trends started showing up on Instagram, like loud ads that never stop.

Now, anyone who can tap a key on a computer thinks they're super important.

How do they always stay one step ahead? Is there some kind of fake school teaching them this stuff? They keep changing how they do things just to trick people and grab a few bucks!

Looks like they work together as a group. These scam groups split up the jobs so each person only does one part. Like, if someone tricked me with a fake message and I believed it, someone else on their team would take over the next part of the trick. They even have tech people who come up with new ways to fool others. I’ve seen lots of stories like this, and there are even movies that show how these scam companies work.

If there’s even a small chance to make some cash, you can bet tricksters will show up too.
